How whey Protein formed?

Step 1 Cows milk
Everything starts with a dairy farm.Cows milk comprises of 3.5% protein and of which 20 % are of whey protein.
Step 2 Transportation
The cows milk thus obtained is transported to the local cheese manufacturing facility in a refrigerated tanker.
Step 3 Pasteurisation
The milk obtained directly from cow contains bacteria which are not good for our health. Thus milk is allowed to undergo pasteurisation .Pasteurisation is a process in which milk is heated at its boiling point and cooled suddenly .
Bacteria does not survive at these extreme temperatures and thus the nutrition in the milk is retained which is free from bacteria.
Step 4 Seperation
The magic starts here.Enzymes are added in the bacteria free milk obtained above .These enzymes help in seperation process where solid part ie curd which is used to prepare different types of cheese and liquid part ie whey which also contains fats , lactose and carbs in it.
Step 5 Filtration
The liquid whey is then loaded into turbines which contain ceramic filters .These filters helps in filtering of fats and lactose and thus seperate out pure whey .
The resulting process thus gives us a base pure whey concentrate.
Step 6 Drying
The liquid whey thus obtained is fed into the dryer. Here spray drying is used in which hot and cool air are sprayed to seperated liquid from the powder form.
During this process it is ensured that the protein value is not getting denatured and high nutritious value is maintained.
Step 7 Blending and Packaging
The unflavoured and high nutritional value whey protein thus obtained is then processed by blending with artifical flavours and testing thus ensuring the protein value is maintained.
The tested protein is then packaged with all its nutritional info label and delivered to the warehouses .From the warehouses it is then shipped at your residence once you order them.
Different types of whey protein

There are various protien available in the market such as pea protein, rice protein, soy ,casein and whey .But researches have found that compared to all, whey protein has better leucine content than others. Also the protein asbsorption of whey is better overall compared to the animal and plant protein which is great for bang for your buck.
So lets discuss types of whey protein to choose from and which is suitable for you
1.Whey concentrate
Whey concentrate contains highest amount of lactose ,carbs and fats .It is less process and less filtered compared to other two whey.It has nearly 35-80 % whey protein available depending on the price range. It is cheaper compared to other two
2.Whey Isolate
To obtain whey isolate the whey has to go thru additional filtration process. The whey protein thus obtained has about 90% whey with less amount of fats and carbs. It is slightly costlier as compared to whey concentrate.
3.Whey hydrolysate
These are just whey isolate which are pre-digested to increase absorption. The protein content remain same as that of isolate. It is slightly costlier as compared to whey isolate.

Considering you have put on muscle mass and are in the cutting/shreding phase ie if you want to cut the fat and dont want to lose the muscle i would suggest you go for ISOPURE whey protein if budget is not your constrained. If you are tight on budget you can opt for Myprotein Impact whey Isolate.
Since you have to put on muscle and size ( which comes with fat) you need to be in caloric surplus which means you often need to increase your carb intake .The above whey protein are good source if you want to meet your protein requirment but you need to add carbs from other sources in the diet since the listed protein are low in carbs.
It solely depends on your goal .If you want to gain size and strength and not worried about some carbs ,then whey concentrate is better option. If you want to lose fat and restrict carbs, whey isolate would be your choice.
